Description

A thaumatrope is an optical illusion toy that was popular in the 19th century. A disk with two images, one on each side, is twirled until the images appear to blend together and you can see both sides at the same time. Although both images appear upright when spun, they are actually drawn inverted. This toy features a skull appearing with crossbones underneath.
