The single wood barrel of this maple leaf pen & pencil allows for a larger, solid piece of wood giving it a sleek, refined look. The gunmetal bands embossed with maple leaf represent the strong true north. Askr Yggdrasils is reputed to be the ash tree center to Norse spiritually and used as a means of transportation between worlds. Perhaps less worldly, but none the less beautiful, ‘doghouse’ salvaged a three-inch-thick cut off at the local mill which has been turned into a stunning box and several pens. Ash is a prominently grained wood of creamy white and taupe. This pen takes a Parker-style refill, as well as the widely available UNI-Ball® refill and the pencil takes 7mm lead.
